CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar — Two individuals, identified as high-value targets (HVTs), were apprehended following the confiscation of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Socorro, Catbalogan City, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 11, 2026.
The arrested individuals were known as alias “Naldo,” aged 59, married, a businessman residing in Brgy. 13, Catbalogan City; and alias “Dolfo,” aged 32, single, residing in Brgy. 3, Catbalogan City.
The operation was conducted by PDEA Samar, led by AI V. Maria Felina Bacha, with support from the Catbalogan City Police Station under PLTCOL Norman D. Ala, Acting Chief of Police.
The items seized from the suspects included: 1 sachet of suspected shabu (used in the buy-bust), 9 sachets of suspected shabu (for possession) amounting to 6.18 grams, valued at Php 46,350, Php 500 in buy-bust funds, 1 Suzuki motorcycle.
The suspects are currently facing charges for violating Article II, Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
