CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar — Police arrested a suspected drug personality listed in the Top 5 Regional Priority Target List during a buy-bust operation early Sunday morning in Barangay 13 here.
The suspect, known by the alias “Rudy,” 35, single, unemployed, and a resident of the village, was arrested around 12:16 a.m. on May 25.
Seized from him were three sachets containing suspected shabu, including the one sold to an undercover operative, a marked P500 bill used in the operation, and a cellphone.
The operation was carried out by members of the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by PMAJ Juan Carlos S. Recluta, together with personnel from the Catbalogan City Police Station and the Samar Drug Enforcement Team. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Samar Police Provincial Director PCOL Arwin M. Tadeo and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Eastern Visayas.
The suspect is now under police custody and is set to face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
