Kananga, Leyte — The Keitech Educational Foundation Inc. (Keitech) marked another milestone as it held its 16th Commencement Exercises, honoring 92 newly trained graduates now ready to join high-demand industries.

The ceremony, held at the Keitech Educational Gym on November 14, carried the theme “Empowering Lives with Skill and Purpose.”

A Perfect 15-Year Performance Record

This year’s graduation comes as Keitech celebrates a remarkable 15-year streak of excellence, maintaining a 100% TESDA certification passing rate since its founding—an achievement unmatched in the region.

Nearly 90% of Keitech graduates have also secured employment, reinforcing the institution’s reputation as a leading producer of skilled, job-ready workers.

The graduates completed Keitech’s rigorous 11-month training, specializing in critical workforce areas such as construction, metals and engineering, and tourism.

Female Trainee Tops the Class

History was made as Ms. Shelvie Morata, a trainee from the Construction Craftsman II program, was named Valedictorian. Morata, who excelled in a field traditionally dominated by men, also received the prestigious Oscar M. Lopez (OML) Award and the title Most Outstanding Trainee of the Year.

Joining her at the top of the class was Mr. Cheram P. Rusiana, who trained in Tourism Food & Beverage (F&B) and Housekeeping. Rusiana was named Salutatorian and received the Leadership Award for his exemplary performance and service.

The event drew strong institutional support, with representatives from the Municipalities of Ormoc City and Kananga, the TESDA Leyte Provincial Director, and Keitech President Atty. Alan V. Barcena in attendance.

Key partner First Gen–EDC was represented by Ms. France Ariola, Communications Department Head, highlighting the foundation’s ongoing collaboration with industry leaders who help sustain Keitech’s programs and post-training opportunities.

Proud families filled the venue, celebrating the achievements of their graduates—many of whom are now the first in their households to complete technical-vocational certification.

A Continuing Path Forward

Keitech reaffirmed its commitment to supporting graduates beyond the classroom, pledging full assistance in job application endorsements and access to employment networks. Through its strong partnership with First Gen–EDC, graduates may also pursue further college education should they choose to advance their careers.

For the 92 graduates of Class 2025, the ceremony marked not just the end of training but the start of new opportunities—carrying with them the skills, discipline, and purpose that Keitech has instilled for over a decade.
