TACLOBAN CITY — A fire in Sitio Pag-asa, Barangay 80, Marasbaras, near Wilcon Depot, early Wednesday morning, April 8, destroyed an estimated 25 to 30 houses.
Residents reported that the fire broke out around 2:45 a.m. and quickly spread due to the proximity of the houses. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities.
The fire was extinguished after about two hours, but response operations were hindered by the narrow access roads to the area.
The Bureau of Fire Protection in Tacloban City is investigating the cause of the fire. — Jessieboy Novillo
