SAN SEBASTIAN, Samar — A man, identified as a street-level individual (SLI), was arrested for allegedly possessing suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Inobongan, San Sebastian, Samar on April 2, 2026, around 8:55 p.m.
The man, known by the alias “Ando,” is 51 years old, married, and resides in the mentioned barangay. He works at a vulcanizing shop.
The operation was conducted by a joint team from the San Sebastian Municipal Police Station, led by PLT Jayson T. Rivera, the acting unit chief, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit/Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PIU/PDEU) under the command of PMAJ Juan Carlos S. Recluta, the chief of PIU/PDEU, supervised by PCOL Arwin M. Tadeo, the provincial director of the Samar Police Provincial Office.
Authorities confiscated one sachet of suspected shabu (the buy-bust item) and two additional sachets of suspected shabu (for possession), totaling 0.456 grams with an estimated value of P3,100, along with the P500 buy-bust money.
The seized items were properly recorded and witnessed at the scene of the incident in accordance with legal requirements.
The suspect is set to face charges for violating Article II Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
