Tacloban City – Employees at the Leyte Provincial Capitol received a P45,000 Christmas windfall, boosting year-end morale, last December 12, 2025.
Governor Carlos Jericho “Icot” Petilla recently announced a generous cash gift for employees last December 12, 2025 at the Leyte Provincial Capitol. This gift, totaling millions in cash, was shared during the Christmas party.
The Governor said his goal is to ensure that all employees have a joyful Christmas.
Regular and casual employees were given the largest cash gift, amounting to P45,000 each. Nearly 4,000 employees benefited from this gesture.
To ensure employees have the funds in time for the holidays, the Governor instructed the Auditor’s office to distribute the gifts before Christmas.
The cash gifts, distributed under the banner “ICOT PETILLA, NAGHATAG HIN TAG 45K EXTRA CASH GIFT HA MGA MAGTATRABAHO HAN KAPITOLYO,” provide significant financial support to the Leyte provincial government staff, Job order and contractual workers, while not included in the permanent employees’ year-end bonuses, also received substantial cash bonuses.
