TANAUAN, Leyte — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Tanauan, Leyte, is launching a series of activities for Fire Prevention Month in March to raise awareness and enhance community readiness against fire and emergencies.
The month-long observance will kick off on March 1 with a motorcade around Tanauan supported by the LGU and private sector groups.
BFP personnel will be visible in densely populated areas to promote fire safety awareness. Additional activities include a Zumba event, a bloodletting activity, and a poster-making contest for students.
Private organizations, like the Gay Club Association, are also supporting the bureau’s initiatives.
BFP Tanauan is conducting seminars and drills in schools to ensure preparedness for emergencies. This initiative highlights the BFP’s dedication to public safety and disaster preparedness in the municipality.
