GUIUAN, Eastern Samar — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Eastern Samar Provincial Office hosted a Provincial Shared Service Facility (SSF) Assembly and Market Matching Activity on December 12, 2025, in Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The event brought together 14 SSF cooperators from various parts of the province.
The main goal of this assembly was to encourage cooperation among SSF Cooperators, address operational challenges, and open up news market opportunities for MSMFs. During the assembly, SSF cooperators shared details about their projects, discussed common hurdles, and exchanged ideas to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
One of the highlights of the event was the Market Matching segment, where the 14 SSF Cooperators interacted with local buyers, producers, and raw material suppliers from neighboring municipalities like Arteche, Dolores, Maydolong, Borongan City, Quinapondan, Balangiga, Salcedo and Guiuan.
As a result of these discussions, at least 10 new market linkages and Product Display Agreements were established, offering MSMEs increased market access and potential for business growth. Furthermore, this gathering facilitated stronger networking and partnership among the SSF Cooperators, fostering better coordination and collaboration across Eastern Samar.
According to a statement from DTI Eastern Samar, this activity demonstrates their ongoing dedication to supporting MSMEs and facilitating the implementation of the Shared Service Facilities Program by enhancing access to technology, markets and collaborative support systems.
