Dolores, Eastern Samar – In a move to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper management of public funds, the Commission on Audit (COA) conducted an Entrance Conference at the Mayor’s Office Conference Hall on January 26, 2026, marking the start of the Audit Calendar Year 2025 Accounts review for the Local Government Unit of Dolores.
The entrance conference is a standard procedure mandated by the Philippine Constitution, granting COA the authority to examine, audit, and settle all accounts pertaining to the revenue, receipts, expenditures, and utilization of government funds and property.
During the conference, the COA Audit Team presented the audit’s scope and direction, which will primarily focus on examining the financial reports and financial reporting processes of the LGU.
The audit is being led by Mr. Daniel Tom Raguirag, OIC–Audit Team Leader, along with Ms. Mary Jean B. Duran, Audit Team Member. Representatives from various municipal offices attended the conference.
LGU Dolores has pledged its full support for the COA audit process, recognizing its importance in strengthening local governance and promoting public trust.
