CAN-AVID, Eastern Samar — Eastern Samar State University – Can-avid Campus (ESSU-Can-avid) reaffirmed its dedication to quality assurance and continuous improvement with the successful conduct of its Internal Quality Audit (ISO 9001:2015) on February 23, 2026.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Campus Administrator Dr. Geronimo A. Ellado, who highlighted the significance of cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and efficient service across the university.
Following this, Mrs. Hazel L. Cuna, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC), presented the purpose of the audit, emphasizing its critical role in ensuring compliance with ISO standards and identifying pathways for institutional growth. She also announced the designated audit assignments, officially initiating the audit process.
The audit team comprised experienced professionals:

- Dr. Eppy Cenby Gaytos
- Dr. Andy Lapada
- Dr. Janice Dyan Quiñones
- Dr. Jordan Cabaguing
- Ma’am Hazel L. Cuna
Through comprehensive and objective evaluations, the audit team provided insightful findings and recommendations aimed at enhancing the university’s quality management system and operational processes.
In his response, Dr. Ellado expressed his full support for implementing the audit’s recommendations, reaffirming the campus’ commitment to uphold high standards in both academic and administrative functions.
The activity concluded with the presentation of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the auditors, followed by a ceremonial photo session. This milestone signifies ESSU-Can-avid’s ongoing pursuit of excellence and its resolve to maintain transparency, effectiveness, and quality in providing education services.
The Internal Quality Audit underscores ESSU-Can-avid’s unwavering commitment to fostering an environment of continuous progress and delivering exceptional learning experiences to its students and community.
