Opening Doors of Opportunity for Estehanons: Job Fair Launched

BORONGAN CITY, Eastern Samar — In its continuous effort to provide better employment opportunities for the people of Eastern Samar, the Provincial Government, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), officially launched a Job Fair on May 12, at the Capitol Gym.

The event drew a large crowd of eager applicants, signaling the community’s strong desire for stable employment and a brighter future.

According to Governor RV Evardone, this initiative is a direct result of the administration’s unwavering commitment to expand job prospects for every Estehanon.

He shared that the collaboration with DOLE, led by Regional Director Atty. Dax Villaruel, was conceptualized during the first quarter meeting of the Regional Development Council last March 31, 2026.

“Our ultimate goal is to help you, our job seekers. It would be such a waste of your skills and potential if you remain unemployed. We want you to find work so you can provide for your families and your loved ones,” Governor Evardone stated.

The Governor also expressed his deepest gratitude to the private companies that continue to support and participate in such endeavors, as well as the various government agencies present. He specifically commended the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for spearheading the organization and successful implementation of the activity.

This Job Fair is envisioned to serve as a vital bridge connecting skilled workers to suitable employment, further driving economic growth and progress across the province of Eastern Samar.
