CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar — The 803rd Community Defense Center (803CDC) of the 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, promoted and recognized officers and enlisted personnel of the 803rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (803RRIBn) during a Donning of Ranks and Awarding Ceremony on July 18 at the 803CDC headquarters in Maulong, Catbalogan City.
The ceremony was led by Col. Luzelito Q. Betinol GSC (INF) PA and attended by Col. Ramonito S. Taboy GSC (FS) PA, commander of the 8th Regional Community Defense Group, who served as guest speaker.
In his message, Taboy said a promotion is more than a reward for years of service. He said it also reflects the trust placed in every officer and soldier who takes on a higher rank.
He reminded the newly promoted personnel that every promotion comes with bigger responsibilities and called on them to continue serving with honor, integrity, and professionalism.
The ceremony also recognized officers and enlisted personnel who received awards for their performance and service in the reserve force.
For the awardees and newly promoted personnel, the ceremony marked another step in their military service as they prepare to take on new responsibilities in support of the Philippine Army’s reserve force and the communities they serve.
