Borongan City, Eastern Samar — As Eastern Samar marks its meaningful 61st founding anniversary, the provincial government is putting community service at the heart of the celebrations through the much‑anticipated SeRVisyo Caravan.
More than just a commemorative milestone, the province’s 61st founding year offers a chance to bring government help directly to Estehanons — and the service caravan stands as one of its flagship anniversary activities.
Provincial Administrator Nelson Cortez presided over a key coordination meeting to firm up plans for the caravan’s visits to Lawaan and San Julian. Officials reviewed venue arrangements, agency participation, and on‑day workflows to ensure accessible, efficient service delivery.
Several national government agencies will join the outreach, setting‑up on‑site service stations so residents no longer need to travel far to avail of essential assistance.
Mark your calendars: the anniversary‑tied SeRVisyo Caravan will open in Lawaan on October 28, 2026, before moving to San Julian on November 4, 2026.
Administrator Cortez emphasized that the caravan was conceived to embody the spirit of the 61st founding anniversary — celebrating the province’s decades‑long journey by reaching out to its people.
