EASTERN SAMAR, January 24, 2026 — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has lifted the temporary suspension of voyages for some vessels and watercrafts in Eastern Samar, following DOST-PAGASA Gale Warning No. 9, issued at 05:00 AM today, which indicates an improvement in sea conditions in certain areas.
However, voyages from the eastern coast of Eastern Samar, specifically Arteche, San Policarpo, Oras, Dolores, Can-Avid, Taft, Sulat, San Julian, Borongan, Maydolong, Balangkayan, Llorente, Hernani, Salcedo, Mercedes, Guiuan, remain suspended due to strong to gale-force winds associated with the Northeast Monsoon and the potential for inclement weather. This suspension is in accordance with HPCG Memorandum Circular 03-01.
All mariners are strongly advised to remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution while navigating, particularly given the potential for unpredictable weather and sea conditions, to prevent maritime accidents and ensure safety at sea.
