TACLOBAN CITY — Two suspects were apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Ormoc, where 48 packs of shabu were seized. The operation took place in Barangay Tambulilid on April 3, 2026.
Intelligence operatives from Ormoc City Police identified the suspects as aliases Arci and Dan, both residents of Ormoc City.
Arci was categorized as a high-value individual, while “Dan” is a street-level drug personality in Isabel, Leyte.
Police seized 48 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in marked buy-bust money, a sling bag, and drug paraphernalia, which are now being turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 8 for analysis.
The suspects are currently in custody at Police Station 4 in Ormoc City and are facing charges under Republic Act 9165.
Anti-illegal drug operations in the city are being intensified to combat the spread of prohibited substances.
