CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar — Two individuals known to be involved in street-level activities were apprehended in a police operation at 10:53 a.m. on May 13, 2026, in Purok 3, Barangay 13, Catbalogan City.
The suspects were identified as alias “Chan,” a 22-year-old single resident of Barangay 13, Catbalogan City, and alias “Jhen,” a 20-year-old single store vendor from Barangay Caranas, Motiong, Samar.
During the operation, alias “Chan” was found in possession of one packet of suspected shabu used in the buy-bust transaction, along with five additional packets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 0.61 grams and valued at approximately P4,148. Additionally, a P500 bill used as buy-bust money was seized.
The operation was carried out by the Catbalogan City Police Station under Acting Chief of Police PLTCOL Norman D. Ala, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The suspects are currently held at the Catbalogan City Police Station and will be charged with violations of Article II Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
