BORONGAN CITY — The Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) proudly announced on March 6, that its recent batch of examinees met a remarkable milestone: a 100% passing rate in the February 2026 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE), with one graduate landing in the Top 10, specifically at the ninth spot nationwide.
Results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on March 6 confirm that all 32 examinees from ESSU Main Campus successfully passed the licensure exam for nurses, marking the ninth consecutive year of a flawless passing record in the university’s College of Nursing and Allied Sciences.
Notably, ESSU Borongan graduate Noemi Abing Corado secured the ninth rank, posting an outstanding score of 89.80%, adding to the university’s reputation for producing top performing nurses.
This consistent excellence reflects the unwavering commitment of ESSU’s faculty and students, and it brings pride to the entire Eastern Samar province.
Nationally, the exam had a 44.24% passing rate, with only 3,611 out of 8,162 examinees successfully earning their license and registering as nurses.
The university’s leadership, headed by President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan Jr., extended heartfelt congratulations to the new nurses, encouraging them to continue serving the nation with dedication, compassion, and professional excellence.
