BORONGAN CITY, Eastern Samar — The Commission on Audit (COA) Eastern Samar led the Calendar Year 2025 Audit Exit Conference on April 6, presenting key findings and recommendations to provincial leaders.

Governor Ralph Vincent “RV” Evardone, Vice Governor Maricar Sison-Goteesan, and top officials from the province’s accounting, budget, treasury, engineering, and disaster management departments attended the meeting, which focused on ensuring proper use of public funds, adherence to budget allocations, and effective utilization of resources.

During the conference, COA representatives reviewed the management of provincial funds throughout 2025, highlighting areas of compliance as well as opportunities for improvement.

Discussions centered on maintaining transparency in all government expenditures and ensuring every peso allocated serves the best interests of Eastern Samar’s residents.

COA also provided a detailed roadmap with actionable recommendations designed to strengthen the province’s fiscal accountability systems. The guidelines aim to guarantee that all government spending remains transparent and fully compliant with existing regulations, while also enhancing efficiency in resource allocation across all departments.

The event underscores the provincial government’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of public financial management, working in partnership with COA to build a more accountable and responsive governance framework for Eastern Samar.
