BORONGAN CITY, Eastern Samar — A total of 173 college students from Eastern Samar received P3,000 each in financial assistance through the Bulig Para Estudyante (BPE) program, during a payout ceremony held on April 29, 2026 at the Provincial Capitol Gym.
The beneficiaries are students from Borongan, Sulat, and San Julian, with the aid intended to help cover their essential school-related expenses.
Board Member and Education Committee Chairman Atty. Byron Suyot emphasized that the program aims to provide timely support to students pursuing higher education. He encouraged recipients to use the assistance wisely and remain dedicated to their studies.
“We want to give our students the opportunity to focus on their education without being burdened by financial constraints,” Atty. Suyot stated. He also assured that the provincial government will continue to provide sustained support to students through the BPE program and other educational initiatives.
